give punchy advice to the LGBT community, a measured blend of
guidance, wit and sincerity from the femme and butch perspective.
Beyond penning advice for five years in Curve, their online web
series featured on curvemag.com—in various incarnations—has
garnered a large, wide-reaching audience. Their book—Lipstick &
Dipstick’s Essential Guide to Lesbian Relationships—was released in 2008. Their second book, a coming out guide, is in development.
Over the years, Lipstick & Dipstick have spoken on numerous university campuses and have made many TV and radio appearances, including a stint on Logo’s Round Trip Ticket and on WE’s Secret Lives of Women. During their international book tour, Lipstick & Dipstick did myriad TV, radio and print interviews as well as performing (their readings are performance-based) for large crowds and speaking on college campuses about queer relationships and coming out. For San Francisco Pride, they emceed the main stage on Sunday, entertaining over 100,000 people. They’ve also hosted/emceed staged events for Showtime, HRC, Curve, and Nike Inc. at their World Headquarters, where—in a humorous talk show style—they interviewed Nike’s CEO.
